Kuroshitsuji Musical 2 (The Most Beautiful Death In The World)

The feels. The feels.

This musical is very (and I mean VERY) emotional. Like, the “I am wrecked for the rest of the day” kind of emotional. But, in a great way. The feels are worth watching.

In this musical, we are introduced to new characters that don’t make any appearance in any of the other divisions of Black Butler (manga, anime, movie): Eric and Alan. And more importantly than introducing us to new characters, we are made to half-way like/half-way understand/half-way scream “WHY, DAMNIT?!!? WHY?!” while we’re watching them. It’s comparable to placing a fettuccini alfredo in front of me, then snatching it away in the cruelest of ways. (Is that just me?)

And, this also is a help to readers and writers of Black Butler fanfiction. who’ve never seen the musical before. By the end, you now know/understand the Eric and Alan thing. And now you know why these characters make appearances in the works of people who have seen the musical (Did that ever confuse anyone? It did for me at first) . And also why everyone pairs these guys together. This musical is their story.

Kuroshitsuji Musical 1 (That Butler, Friendship)

The first of the Black Butler Musicals. Obviously, it is subbed as to listen to it in English would not only be a disgrace (the jokes would never make sense – especially since some are hard to get already), but it’s a musical that was only performed in Japan. Like anyone would perform it here in the U.S. Psshh. We’re all stuck on boring stuff here. (Well, not completely boring…)

Anyways, to all fans of Black Butler, who haven’t seen the musicals, WATCH THIS RIGHT NOW. It’s super funny and emotional. I really love the singing, especially the very last song. That was my absolute favorite. There are more good ones as well though.

As for the actors, while I feel like they could’ve cast an actor, who could sing in a deeper tone, for Sebastian (I think Ciel at one point went lower than him), he was still my favorite along with Lau, The Undertaker, and Grell. As for the funniest, I think Abberline was definitely on my radar.

Get to watching people!

Black Butler Movie Trailer (Subbed)

Still waiting for the movie sub since it’s already been out in Japan for a while now. And once I see this movie, I will totally review the hell out of it.

As a very loyal Kuroshitsuji fan, I must see this movie. MUST. SEE. And so I will see eventually. But, being said loyal fan, there are already some things I see that kind of irritate me a bit. While I’m glad they made it into a live action film, there are many disappointments here as well. The movie trailer both makes me want to see it and not want to. I seriously hope they didn’t destroy the series. But, from the plot and several discrepancies there will definitely be a few things I will wish they hadn’t done. The first being, making Ciel a girl. WTF. He’s a boy. But, only when I see the movie will I truly decide if that was a bad or good thing.

Furthermore, I will be posting up here youtube vids of the Kuroshitsuji Musicals so that everyone can enjoy them. I, personally, loved them. Absolutely loved them. Do I have a favorite? Yes, yes I do. But, I’m not saying.

And as an extra little note, probably irrelevant, out of all the parts of the Black Butler franchise (Kuroshitsuji), I still love the manga the most. There are many people who’ve only seen the anime, only the musicals, etc etc. To those, I suggest reading the manga. The Kuroshitsuji manga is honestly the best out of all there is to offer on Black Butler.

Because it is the actual story. The rest are all branches of the manga, adaptions from the manga or anime, and so on. Even the movie looks to be far off (like the second season of the anime) in that the setting appears to be in the current time when in actuality, the setting is during the time of Queen Elizabeth, Jack The Ripper, etc. etc.

I still like everything involving Black Butler though. I just happen to love the manga. (Get me?)

I can, can. And so can, can you.

Silver tongue

Guys…guys…guys…another one!

Let’s call this my recommendation for today. Hit up her blog and wait for more. Because talent always continues to flow.

A tongue of silver
Glides along the white sea
A god
A creator of chaos and harmony
Of all harm that can come to man
This tongue is by far the worst.
We can run but we can’t hide
From this silver tongue.
Lay your shrine
On the bed of peace
In a world of discomfort
Merely masked by smiles and sorry’s
For when the blood of black and blue flows
There will be no shield
We are naked against this enemy,
But this enemy hides in plain sight.
What is it? Why? We ask..
It is the pen I hold, the pen you hold
This silver tongue tastes damage
And craves it more.
We feed it.
Always wondering why we hurt,
But never why we hurt.
